Paul W. Elliott, 84, of Houston, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Humble, Texas. He was born on July 20, 1941, in Adamsville, Tennessee, to Tal and Hazel Elliott and Maudell Comer.
Wayne built a long and steady career as a classified salesman with the Houston Chronicle, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he found joy in the outdoors and took great pride in caring for his yard. His quiet strength, steady presence, and love for simple pleasures were constants in the lives of those who knew him.
On February 2, 2002, Wayne married the love of his life, Dorothy Elliott, in Houston, Texas. Their years together were filled with companionship, devotion, and deep affection.
Wayne leaves behind his daughter, Tami Elliott; his son, Paul K. Elliott; his grandchildren, Brandi, Justin, and Jordan; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Madisyn, Charlee, Randa, James, Jessie, Raelynn, Rylee, Isaiah, Alayna and Ellyana. His family was his greatest pride, and his legacy lives on through each of them. He is further survived by aunts Mary Nell Christopher, Lexie Elliott, Billie Elliott, Donvie Christopher, and Hettie Harris, and uncles George Elliott and Charles Elliott (Jigs).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tal and Hazel Elliott; his mother, Maudell Comer; his beloved wife, Dorothy Elliott; his sister, Sandra Hatsis; and his brother, Paul Floyd.
Wayne will be remembered for his kindness, his steady spirit, and the love he carried for his family. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
