Patsy Ann Ripley's Obituary
Patsy Ann Ripley, 88, of Friendswood, Texas passed away on February 7, 2024 at her home. She was born May 27, 1935 to Arthur and Violet Mack in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She graduated in 1953 from Texas City High School and married her high school sweetheart, Malcolm “Rip” Ripley in 1954 in Texas City, Texas. They were married for 56 years and made their home in Chicago, Pasadena, Houston, and Sugar Land. Together they raised a loving family, having 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Patsy spent many years devoted to raising her kids and was involved in many church, school and sport activities with them. Then she enjoyed working at Charles H. Milby High School.
She is survived by her children: Beth & Gary Humphrey, Mike & Anna Ripley, Ronald Ripley & Martha Keller, Sharon Bahr & John Welch, and Susan & Wayne Whitaker. MeMaw was dearly loved by her grandchildren: Eric & Erin Ripley, Brian & Cori Ripley, Michael Kevin Jr. & Kristine Ripley, Mark & Candice Ripley, Lindsay Ripley and Jose Alaniz , Steven & Emily Ripley, Ryan Bahr and Melissa Bahr. MeMaw’s legacy of love continues with her great grandchildren: Elysa, Emily, Bailey, Chloe, Colton, Kathleen Ann and Lucy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rip; her son, David Ripley; her sister, Gloria Ryden; and her brother, Roger Mack.
The family will receive friends at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 14659 Interstate 10 East, Houston, TX 77015 on Tuesday, February 13 beginning at 11:30 a.m. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with interment following.
