Mrs. Patricia Ann Whitsell's Obituary
Patricia Ann Whitsell (Hughes) was born in Mexia, Texas, on June 30, 1947 to parents Clifton and Hazel Hughes. She was the second of five children that would bless the Whitsell Household.
Patricia was a graduate of Channelview High, and after graduation, she began a career at a Courtesy Booth Operator, little did she know, she would spend the next 30 plus years in that career, before retiring in 2000. In 1964 Patricia Hughes married William Teddy Whitsell, and the two of them would spend the next 54 years figuring out all of life’s ups and downs.
Patricia loved spending time with her friends and family especially Carol Atkinson, Shirley Hoffmeyer and Roland Williams, they were a few of her closest friends. While Patricia enjoyed birthdays, social activities, crafting, and listening to Elvis music, her most important events in her life were becoming a wife and mother. After 70 years of blessing her family and friends, Patricia was called to heaven, and passed peacefully in Houston, Texas. She was preceded by her parents Clifton and Hazel Hughes, husband William Whitsell, Darrell Wayne Whitsell, and Jimmy Hughes. She is survived by her son Damon Whitsell, Grandson Wesley Glen Whitsell, Brother David Hughes, Brother Dewey Hughes, Sister in Law Janie Hughes, Sister in Law Linda Hughes, Darlene Hughes, Nancy Whitsell, Caroline Tanner, and Second Niece Katherine Frietas, and a host of other family and friends.
At this time the family would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this difficult time.
