Mrs. Patricia J. Walker's Obituary
Patricia “Patty” Jean Walker was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on August 28, 1962. She entered Heaven’s gate on April 4, 2015.
A strong, loving mother and homemaker, Patricia was an excellent and creative cook and enjoyed preparing new creations for her family and friends. Some turning out to be crowd favorites, while others became funny mistakes to speak of in good times. She collected quite a few recipes throughout the years, mostly the good ones.
When not cooking herself, Patty also loved watching others cook. If it wasn’t Rachel Ray, it was Guy’s diners and dives, or on occasion, Barefoot Contessa. She would watch for hours, gathering recipes, ideas, and almost surely an appetite to go along.
When not cooking or thinking of food, Patty would while the hours away playing her games online and becoming engulfed in her Farmville.
Farmville was Patty’s new adorable obsession. She would spend hours upon hours watering her beautiful new additions to her personal patch of land. In those cute, angelic moments she glowed like a delighted little one on Christmas morning. You couldn’t help but smile in return.
Patty is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Douglas Walker. She is also survived by her beautiful children Suzanne Gordon, Jason Vinroe and Tina Walker. As well as her caring brothers and sister-in-law, Ronnie Nuss, Roger Byers and Rhonda Sullivan and lastly her 7 precious grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Patty’s life will be held the following day on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home.
