Ms. Patricia Ann Buckelew's Obituary
Patricia Ann ( Pie ) Buckelew, 81, was born on August 3, 1935 to the late Ivyle & Ruby Dodson in Blue Ridge, Texas and passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 2, 2017 in Pasadena, Texas.
Patricia married the love of her life, Mr. Roy N. Buckelew on December 31, 1955 at Galena Park Assembly of God Church in Galena Park, Texas. They lived in Galena Park, Texas; London England; Columbus, Georgia and then moved back to Galena Park.
Patricia was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and looked forward to seeing them each time. She was loving, funny, happy, brave, determined and very strong. She didn’t let anything stop her or get in her way. She will always be a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend to many.
Patricia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy N. Buckelew, Jr and her son: Roy D. Buckelew. She is survived by her loving children: son: David Buckelew; daughter: Cindy Austin and husband Kurt; grandchildren: Carrie Pogue and husband Bobby, Michael Jennings and wife Monica; great-grandchildren: Bailey Pogue and wife Itzel, Jewels Pogue , Caleb Pogue and Cole Jennings; siblings: Joe Dodson, Sr. and wife Arlene, Betty Finke and husband Lee, Marion Dodson and wife Trisha, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, Texas 77015. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at Galena Park Assembly of God, 1121 2nd Street, Galena Park, Texas 77547. Patricia Ann will be laid to rest with her husband at Houston National Cemetery following the service.
