Ms. Mona Lisa Goad's Obituary
Mona Lisa Goad, age 66 of Pearland, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017. Lisa is survived by her father Hubert Ekstrum and wife Lonita; children Amanda Goad Pridgen and husband Phil, Ann Goad and grand daughter Mona Ann Goad; siblings Frances Ekstrum Jones and Dave William Ekstrum; favorite Aunt Annette Thompson; and numerous loving relatives and friends. Lisa is preceded in death by her mother Mona May Pizzitola, and her husband Frank Pizzitola, sister Ann Aliece Ekstrum and brother Donald Ray Ekstrum.
Lisa was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, niece and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always put others before herself. She was a long-time employee at Pearland First United Methodist Church where she was a loving and attentive caregiver in the Infant Nursery. Lisa loved holding and rocking babies and looked forward to that every week with her friend Dixie.
Lisa made her profession of faith in Christ at age 8 and baptized by her father. She was a member of Shady Crest Baptist Church in Pearland.
Lisa had a beautiful soprano singing voice that everyone enjoyed. Her favorite song was In The Garden that she would always sing when visiting her father's church.
Lisa loved animals, mainly dogs, and chasing and riding in hot air balloons. One of her most talked about adventures was attending the annual hot-air balloon festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
