Michael Clyde Smith's Obituary
Michael Clyde Smith, age 69, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2025. Born on September 11, 1956, in Phoenix, Arizona, he was the beloved son of Marilyn and Milford Smith.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army for 18 years, achieving the rank of E5 Sergeant. His military service, which spanned from October 29, 1974, to May 17, 1993, was marked by dedication, discipline, and quiet strength. After retiring from the Army, he continued to serve his community as a security guard and explored opportunities in real estate, always seeking ways to provide and protect.
On July 4, 2004, Michael married the love of his life, Kim Miller, in Rio Vista, Texas. Their bond was deep and unwavering. Though he was a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes. He often said that his greatest accomplishment was marrying Kim and spending his life devoted to her. His quiet goal was simple yet profound: to do right by her and show her, every day, how much she meant to him.
Michael is survived by his cherished wife, Kim Miller; his stepdaughters, Christine Sliter and Jennifer Willwerth of Baytown, Texas; and his stepsons, Chad Prinz of Baytown and William Prinz of Cleburne, Texas. He also leaves behind his brother, Jim Smith of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren, Tara Prinz, Tye Prinz, Konnan Prinz, Rebecca Prinz, Stetson Prinz, James Prinz, and Jeremiah Green; and three great-grandchildren who brought him joy and pride.
Michael will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast loyalty, and the deep love he held for his family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
