Melvin Edwards' Obituary
Melvin Aubrey Edwards, 84, of Channelview, TX passed away November 20, 2021, in Katy, TX. He was born on January 31, 1937, to Clayton and Naomi Edwards on a little farm in Tuscola, TX in Taylor County.
He had a 44-year work record. He was an operator in the blooming mill for Armco Steel, a Reserve Deputy Constable, and a warehouseman for Tex-Trude Manufacturing. He enjoyed studying the Lord's word. He read through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation each year for over 35 years. He also liked watching television and movies, especially westerns. He had two marriages.
He is survived by daughters Brenda Malone of Conroe, TX, Julie Sossaman and husband Brian of Mont Belvieu, TX, Laura Shannon and husband Gene-Michael of Madisonville, TX, Jennifer Adams and husband Stephen of Porter, TX; sons Dana Edwards of Jena, LA and Melvin Edwards Jr. and wife Kristi of Conroe, TX; brothers Coy Edwards and wife Lynda of Hockley, TX and Charles Edwards and wife Dorothy of Hockley, TX; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Naomi Edwards, daughter Baby Edwards, and grandson Clayton Edwards. He loved the Lord and is with Him now and forever.
