Maurileen Hardin's Obituary
Maurileen Hardin age 97, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Maurileen was born on March 31, 1925, to Amora Stewart Thaxton and Charlie Thaxton in Sabine Parish, Louisiana, and was a longtime resident of Jacinto City, Texas. Harold and Maurileen were married 69 years. Maurileen worked in banking at Jacinto City Bank, and retired from Harrisburg Bank.
Maurileen is survived by her daughters Rita Whigham and husband Rendell of Crosby; Sherry Moore and husband Steve of Crosby; and son Harold (Buddy) Hardin and wife Kathy of Cleveland.
Maurileen’s greatest joy was her Grandchildren: Ronnie Whigham, Tammy Wiggins, Julie Pierce, Rebecca Armstrong, Sarah Moore, and Shawn Moore. She loved attending their sporting events and cheering for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Amora Thaxton, her husband Harold Clarence Hardin, son Michael Clarence Hardin, and Sisters, Anna Bell Cohen, Jewel Thaxton Brown, Ruby Amora Alford, Velma Weldon, Kathleen Hardy, Syble Rebecca Davis, Etoy Ellzey, and brothers, Troy Thaxton, Leon Thaxton, Evon Thaxton, and Tommie Thaxton.
