Marla Yvonne Holcomb, 66, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on October 13, 2024, in Dayton, Texas. She was born to David and Dorothy Holcomb on October 26, 1957, in Houston, Texas.
Marla was known for her faith and attended Cleveland SDA Church with her sons. She enjoyed playing games on her phone, doing crosswords and coloring, and was always ready to help anyone in need. Marla found great joy in caring for her grandchildren and was known for her generous spirit and loving nature. She was a wonderful mother and had a special fondness for the color purple.
Marla is preceded in death by her parents, David and Dorothy Holcomb and her brothers Donnie Holcomb, Herman Holcomb, Luther Holcomb, Ross Holcomb, Willis Holcomb, and Robert Holcomb. She is survived by her children, Cheri Kauffman and her husband Jake Solomon, Will Patton and his wife Tristan Patton, Dorothy Patton and her spouse Daraille Leak, Carolyn Holcomb, and Michael Holcomb. She also leaves behind her siblings, Etta Ponder, Curtis Holcomb, Larry Holcomb, and Mary Holcomb, as well as her 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Marla’s kindness and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
