Marilyn Louise Sinnette's Obituary
Marilyn Louise Sinnette was born to the late Woodrow Wilson Harris and Mary Johnson Harris on October 13, 1949 in Houston, Texas. She attended public school and graduated from Phyllis Wheatly High School Class of 1968.
On September 7, 1968, she married her high school sweetheart Rodney Sinnette, and from their union two girls were born. Marilyn worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom to nurture, and care for, their two young girls.
Marilyn was the heart of the family, always making sure everyone’s needs were met. She had a passion for learning and was a world class self-taught artist. Through her love of reading, and natural talent she was able to develop her skill. She was an avid sports fan, and could always be found watching baseball, basketball, and football, just to name a few. Her favorite team is, and will always be, the Dallas Cowboys, who she followed passionately. She is best known for her quick wit, and ability to have an intelligent discussion, on almost any subject. Her knowledge of sports figures, political matters, and world events always provided opportunities for lively family discussions! Those spirited debates will be missed.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Mary Harris, two brothers, Phillip and John, and sister, Jean Reescano (Millard).
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 51 years, Rodney Sinnette, two daughters, Rhonda Washington (Nathaniel) and Rachael. One sister, Carolyn James, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
