"Aunt Marie", "Nanny Ree", she had many nick names, but while she was a grandmother to us, she was a mother to my mom and her siblings, and the absolute best friend and companion to my biological grandmother. There were secrets and stories that only she could share from when my grandparents were growing up , and we loved to hear her tell us those stories. I remember her giving me my first while helping her at the beauty shop she owned. I remember watching Willy Wonka and making forts while making home made popsicles. I remember riding around with them in their R.V. and trying my first cup of coffee with them. She was in my wedding, she was always on my side, she was always cheering us on and she was the best example of a Godly woman. She was full of joy and wit and she spoke life and Truth into dark places and dead things. She was a diligent daughter of God. She stood for that, sowed that and reaped that. The bountiful harvest she had here on Earth is in no comparison to the bountiful harvest she is enjoying right now. Aunt Marie, I will miss your wisdom, wit, your love and your sweet hugs and kisses. Thank You, my Sweet Father for bringing her into our lives.
