Maria Luz Rodriguez, 84, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Born on December 15, 1940, in Mexico to Jose Alvarez and Paula Guevara, Maria was a beacon of love and care to her family and friends.
Maria cherished her days filled with activities she loved, such as solving crossword puzzles, cooking delicious meals for her family, tending to her beautiful garden, and creating precious memories with her children. A devout Catholic, she was often seen praying and worshipping at her church, embodying her faith in every aspect of her life.
Maria is preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe Rodriguez, and her son Marco Antonio Obregon.
She is survived by her loving children: Juan Obregon, Alfredo Obregon, Sonia Obregon, Hilda Lawrence, Eduardo Obregon, Jose Obregon, Eliud Obregon, and Lucy Rodriguez. Maria is also fondly remembered by her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
