Maria Auxilio Middelhede, 77, passed away peacefully on September 18th, 2024, in Tomball, Texas. Born on November 14th, 1946, to Jose Vargas Chavez and Maria Mercado Vargas in San Jose de Llanates, Mexico, Maria’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith and devotion to her family.
Maria was a dedicated homemaker, always ensuring her family was well-fed and cared for. Her presence was a constant at Church, family gatherings, and the homes of her grandchildren. She brought joy and warmth to every occasion, often seen laughing, dancing, and playing Loteria.
A devout Catholic, Maria’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was known for her generosity and compassion, frequently visiting and helping those in need. Her love for gardening, dancing, traveling, and meeting new people enriched her life and the lives of those around her. Maria was an avid reader and enjoyed watching documentaries, always eager to learn and grow.
Maria is survived by her 6 brothers and sisters, her 2 children, Margaret and Chris, and her 5 grandchildren. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will be cherished by her large and loving family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
