Mrs. Mari Irma Ladnier's Obituary
Maria “Mari” Irma Ladnier, 66, of McAllen, Texas was born on November 9, 1951 to Brigido and Concepcion Palacios and went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
Mari was the second of three children. After graduating from McAllen High School, she attended the Pan American University and earned her degrees in Business Administration, Cosmetology, and Sign Language. After graduation, she began her career as a secretary. Throughout her life Mari lived in Mission, Houston, Mesquite, Gretna, and Pensacola.
Mari was a devoted member of New Hope Church; she worked in the hospital ministry, as a Sunday school teacher, and a sign language interpreter at the church. She was a member and supporter of the SPCA. The most important event in her life were the birth of her daughters Kimmie and Sally. Mari will be remembered for being loving, compassionate, spiritual, generous, and always there for you.
In her spare time Mari loved writing poetry and making webpages, listening to praise and worship music and Christian rap.
Mari is survived by her loving husband, Richard Ladnier; her daughters, Kim and Sally; and her grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 10:00am to 11:00am, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am at the San Jacinto Funeral Home Chapel in Houston, Texas.
