Margaret and I grew up together in Lynchburg and our families were close. She was about 6 months younger than me so her death hits me hard because it makes me face mortality and that’s not what I want to think about. She passed way to soon. I didn’t have the strength to speak at her service today for I knew I would cry too much but I want her family to know that she was a joy to do many people and she was always kind and helpful. She leaves a legacy for her children and grandchildren that they can be proud of. May she Rest In Peace.

I never met Maggie in person, but we had an internet friendship for years. She was always encouraging and supportive and interesting to talk to, and she will be missed. My condolences and best wishes to her family and friends.

This may sound trivial, but it was important to me. I drove the high school bus from Lynchburg to Deer Park for something like 33 years and I remember Margaret as one of the nicest students to ever ride my bus. Always friendly and positive, she was a pleasure to know. RIP.
