Margaret Land's Obituary
Margaret Irene Land, 80, of Houston, TX passed away April 7, 2021 in Houston, TX. She was born December 11, 1940 to the late Hubert E. Cagle and Mable I. Farris in Houston, TX. She married Gerald E. Land Sr. on September 6, 1957 in Houston, TX. Margaret stayed home to nurture and raise her children to adulthood. She would later begin a career with Walmart, where she was a loyal and dedicated employee until her retirement. She was a member of Rosewyn #927 O.E.S. Margaret devoted many years to Greens Bayou and Galena Park Baseball Leagues, as well as many other youth programs and organizations. She loved spending time outdoors, but what she loved most was watching her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids grow and mature into the people they are today. Margaret will be missed by those who knew her best. Waiting to welcome Margaret to her eternal home are her parents; her husband Gerald E. Land Sr.; her son Gerald E. Land Jr.; her grandson Tommy Lee Penick; her granddaughters Heather Marie and Danielle D’lee Land; her brothers: Joe Cagle, Tommy Cagle, and Tommy Lester. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters: Judith(Paul) Fredriches of Crosby, TX, Elizabeth(Charles) Goodwin of Crosby, TX, Jamie(Kevin) Hoffman of Galena Park, TX, and Traci(Bryan) Walcott of Houston, TX; her son: Donny(Lori) Land of Anahuac, TX; 29 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
