Mandy Cormier's Obituary
Mandy Cormier, 85, of Houston, Texas passed away September 27, 2020. She was born June 05, 1935 to Adam Hanchett and Avana Arvie Hanchett in Chataignier, Louisiana.
Mandy was preceded in passing by her husband, Harold Cormier and has completed her assignment and departed to a new destination. She leaves behind, her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Cormier Satterwhite and Courtney Satterwhite, her son, Jonathan Cormier and Paul Cormier and his wife Cemetria Cormier. She was also preceded in passing by her parents, Adam (Alvania Arvie) Hanchett, grandparents Lois (Victoria) Arvie and brothers, Lee Roland Batiste and John James Batiste, Quincy Berrow and sister Mercie Elliot.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the substance of her joy, Rodney Alfred, Roshanda Lumpkin (Xavier), LaShonta COrmier, LaChae Cormier, Van Cormier, Jonathan Cormier, Jr., Molly Cormier, Kaylen Cormier, Nathan Cormier, Jacob Cormier, David Cormier, Alexzandria Cormier-Hill, Keara Cormier-Hill and her extended grandchildren Jacqueline Orellana, William Orellana and Elijah Orellana. Her days always became better with the birth and announcement of each great grandchild, which she now leaves behind, Zayleon Lumpkin, Shaunna Alfred, Zayleon Lumpkin, Zamir Lumpkin and Heaven Stewart.
Her sisters and brothers who remain are Harrison Hanchett of Baytown, TX, Roy Allen Hanchett, Daryl Hanchett and Don Hanchett, all of Opelousas and Adam Hanchett, Jr. (Edith) of Morgan City: nine sisters, Laura Dell Jenkins of Lake Charles, Mary Robinson (Eldridge) and Mae Bell Hanchett, all of Eunice and Rita Guillory of Baton Rouge, Pamela Guillory, Myrtle Ned (Sherman), Bernadine Thomas (Ernest), all of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
