Mrs. Magdaline Hehmann Camperi's Obituary
Magdaline "Maggie" Hehman Camperi, 78, was called home to rest in the loving arms of our Lord on the morning of Tuesday, September 26, 2012, after courageously battling heart disease for six years and lung cancer since January. She was born to Theodore and Bertha (Arndt) Hehman on December 30, 1933 in Burton, Texas and moved with them to the Houston area in 1944. The Atascocita/Humble area has been her home for many years. Maggie was a member of the Church of Christ and a former employee of the University of Houston and ReMax Realty. Maggie is survived by her beloved son, Dale Camperi; sisters Evelyn Fain and husband Gene, Dorothy Howard, Peggy Harville, and Nina Osborne and husband Bud; nieces and nephews Edward Hehman, Dale Hehman, Carolyn Christopher and husband Joe, Diana Williams, Cynthia Feagin and husband Dick, Marshelia Hickman and husband Mark, Paula Howard, Ricky Harville and wife Martha, Richard Osborne as well as numerous other family members and friends. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Bernadine Foster and brother Elwood Hehman. We will miss Maggie and remember her for both her inner and outer beauty, sense of humor and especially her strength. After several years of diminished health, the last year of her life was particularly difficult because of the cancer. Through it all, her ability to maintain her strength and faith never wavered.
Visitation with the family will be on Thursday evening, September 27, 2012 beginning at 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park. "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed....For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
