Mrs. Lynne Picazo's Obituary
Lynne Ann Picazo, 64, passed away December 27, 2017. A loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, Lynne loved her family above all else. Lynne grew up in Channelview, Texas, the oldest daughter of Linwood and Velma Strickland. She dedicated many years of her life to her career with Harris County as an Administrative Assistant. Later in life, she reveled in the love of Dave, her darling husband, Cookie, her beloved schnauzer, her children, and grandchildren. Lynne belonged to the Eastern Star of Channelview. Lynne enjoyed league bowling, shopping, casino trips, cruises, travel, dining out, concerts, scrapbooking, and socializing with family and friends.
She is survived by Dave Picazo, her loving husband, as well as her large, loving family: Children, Misty and Doug McKinney, Jackie and Tereasa Yardley, and Brandi and Pete Castaneda; stepchildren, Daniel Picazo, David and Monique Picazo, Lisa Picazo, Fernando and Alice Estrada Jr., and Mark Estrada; grandchildren, Emma, Savannah, Cade, Ryan, Taylor, Eligie, Wyatt, Ty, Jacob, Fisher, Victoria, Nandito, Natalie, Madison, Josie, Valerie, Davinna, Deanna, Danielle, Matthew, Brittani, Alan, Krista, and Chelsea; great grandchildren, Ava, Brenden, Breyden, Payton, Aiden, Ethan, Evan, Hayden, Cecileigh, and Emberleigh; siblings, James and Tammy Strickland and Rhonda and John Stringer; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Madison, Ashley, Hannah, and Brett.
Pallbearers are Wyatt Arredondo, Ty Arredondo, Doug McKinney, Daniel Picazo, David Picazo, and Alan Duke. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the San Jacinto Funeral Home in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, January 4, 2018 in the Chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Allard officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
