Lucy Mae Guillot's Obituary
Lucy Mae Guillot, 94, of Deer Park, Texas passed away November 10, 2021 in Deer Park, Texas. She was born February 17, 1927 to Lula Moreau and Eldrige Richard in Chatmignier, LA.
She married Hermon Poole and she worked many years at Galena Park ISD and San Jacinto College. She loved to dance, garden and cook. Her gumbo was legendary!
Lucy is survived by her daughter, Linda Gail Smelley and husband Alfred Smelley of Alto, TX; step-daughter, Karen Guillot of Corrigan, TX; son, Michael Neal Poole and wife Candace Yvonne Poole of Deer Park, TX; brothers, Eldon Young and wife Pam, Joe Young, Bobby Richard and wife Angie, Lynn Richard and wife Molly and Larry Richard and wife Teri; grandchildren, Brit Smelley and wife Tabitha, Bobby Smelley and wife Lauri, Jamie Graves and partner Paul Hoggatt, and Amanda Cudney and husband Eddie; 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucy was preceded in death by her spouse, Hermon Poole and her spouse Eldon Guillot; sister, Nathalie Papatonis; brothers, Ebrum Richard and wife Jane, Bernie Young, Hilery Richard, and Edward Young; and her parents, Lula Moreau and Eldrige Richard.
