Mrs. Lucina Rivera's Obituary
Lucina Rivera of Channelview, Texas passed away December 27, 2021 in Chula Vista, California. She was born April 16, 1966 to Rosalio Torres Ledesma and Providencia Contreras Laguna in La Raices Municipio De Valle De Santaigo Guanajuato.
She married the love of her life Jose Guadalupe Rivera on November 29, 1989 in Fresno, California. They parented two beautiful children whom they loved dearly.
She enjoyed gardening, dancing, smiling, laughing, and eating nachos until she fell asleep. She was always tough, strong, and resilient. She brightened up any room. She will truly be missed.
She is survived by her beloved husband Jose Guadalupe Rivera; beloved Daughter Jacqueline Rivera; and beloved Son Jose Guadalupe Rivera Jr.
Left to cherish her memories are her Sisters Maria Mercedes Torres and Guadalupe Torres; Brothers Asuncion Torres, Delfino Torres, Gregorio Torres, Luis Torres, Mario Torres, and Jesus Torres; Parents Rosalio Torres Ledesma and Providencia Contreras Laguna; and Grandparents Luz Contreras and Maria Laguna and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge and recognize their cherished cousin Sonia Aguirre for being there for their mother through her long journey. They are so grateful and appreciative to her for loving and caring for their mother. Thank you Sonia, we love you infinitely.

Se casó con el amor de su vida José Guadalupe Rivera el 29 de noviembre de 1989 en Fresno, California. Fueron padres de dos hermosos hijos a los que amaron profundamente.
Disfrutaba de la jardinería, el baile, la sonrisa, la risa y comer nachos hasta quedarse dormida. Siempre fue dura, fuerte y resistente. Iluminaba cualquier habitación. Se la echará mucho de menos.
Le sobreviven su amado esposo José Guadalupe Rivera; su amada hija Jacqueline Rivera; y su amado hijo José Guadalupe Rivera Jr.
Sus hermanas María Mercedes Torres y Guadalupe Torres; sus hermanos Asunción Torres, Delfino Torres, Gregorio Torres, Luis Torres, Mario Torres y Jesús Torres; sus padres Rosalio Torres Ledesma y Providencia Contreras Laguna; sus abuelos Luz Contreras y María Laguna y una gran cantidad de familiares y amigos.
