Louise Lee's Obituary
Louise Lee went home to the Lord on June 30, 2023 at the age of 85 years old. Louise was the
best of mothers, the best of grandmothers, and the best of friends. While we rejoice in her
wholeness, she will be deeply missed.
Louise was born on September 23,1937, to Walter and Johanna Specht in Brenham, Texas.
She married James Lee in December 1954 and had 3 children. She was a dedicated employee
of the US Postal Service for 32 years, committed to providing for her family.
Louise was active in her church, serving on the finance committee and as a member of
Keenagers, the quilting group, and Bible study, and was very fond of Pastor Paul, who provided
tremendous friendship always, and loving support for her in her final days. Louise was a shining
example of devotion to God, family, and friends, and left us with lessons as great as her
unconditional love for family and as practical as how to cook fried chicken and cornbread
dressing. She was always ready for a big hug and a game of Farkle, and never too busy for a
call or a visit.
She is survived by 3 children, her son Michael and daughters Susan and Sharon, along with
Michael's wife Miyano and Sharon's husband Paul. Her 9 grandchildren included Alex Lee(wife
Lisa), Amanda Lee, Rebecca Chaney( husband Michael), Johnny Rheiner, Gabriel Rheiner(wife
Brogan), and Kyle,Megan, Emma, and Patrick Sculley. She had two great grandchildren, Caleb
and Eve Timms. Beyond her family, there were many who considered her a second mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Johanna Specht, brother Sonny Specht,
and numerous other beloved cousins and in- laws, as well as a cherished lost pre- born son,
Anthony.
Her cherished memory will live on in our hearts forever.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
