Mr. Louis Green's Obituary
Louis Green, 87, died on Monday, August 10, 2009 in a Houston hospital. He was born July 16, 1922 to the late Bill and Vivian Green in DeRidder, Louisiana. Following graduation from Houston's Milby High School he married Velma Stein on February 14, 1942. Louis served in the U.S. Navy Sea Bees during WW II. He was a 60 year member of the Park Place Lodge 1172 AF&AM. Mr. Green was retired from the Exxon Baytown Refinery. His interests were hunting, fishing, and he was an avid reader. Louis is preceded in death by his brother Billy Green and his son Charles Green. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Velma, son Geary Green and wife Barbara; grandchildren Jeanie Mathews and husband Greg, Darrell Green, Natalie Clogston and husband Jonathan, Frank Green and wife Kelley, Michele Green, and Ashley Green. Also surviving are his great-grandchildren Natassia, Nicholas, Nicole, Molly, Mandi, Chloe, and Matthew. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at San Jacinto Funeral Home beginning at 12 Noon with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Edward Stein will be officiating. Graveside services will be under the auspices of Park Place Lodge 1172 AF&AM. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Cemetery.
