Lou Anna Guidry's Obituary
Lou Anna Dartez Guidry was born on March 3, 1943, in Arnaudville, LA to the union of Louisiana and Henry Dartez. She was born the second of five children. She departed this earth on April 12, 2023.
She graduated from Carver High School, Breaux Bridge LA. She wanted to attend college, yet she had to enter the workforce due to the family's financial situation. She worked for several companies as an administrative personnel. One of her most prideful jobs was at Jack Roach Ford wherein she was a Payroll Clerk for over 20 years. Later in life, she changed careers and begin working for Galena Park ISD as a para-professional in the Special Education department. Her final career was staying at home being "Meme" to her great-granddaughters.
In July of 1964, she married Walter Paul Guidry, Jr at St. Rosa Lima in Cecelia, Louisiana. To their union, three children were born, Randy, Joseph Stacy, and Janice.
Although her life was centered around her family, she was an exceptional woman, a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a caring sister and loyal friend.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Paul Guidry; children Randy Guidry, Joseph Stacy, Sr. (Lakethia) Guidry, Janice Guidry (Timothy) Trahan; one sister Genevieve Dartez (Charles) Ray; five grandchildren, Joseph Stacy Jr. (Catherine) Guidry, Shirvonti Guidry (David) Keller, Shelby, Kennedy, and Lauren Trahan; three great-granddaughters, Zara Keller, Nylah and Noelle Guidry, along with a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louisiana Gabriel Dartez, Henry Dartez, Sr., and brothers Andrew, Wilson, and Henry Dartez, Jr.
