Lois Marie Dunbar's Obituary
Lois Marie Brandal Dunbar went to be with her Lord on February 10, 2023 at the age of 79. She
was born September 24, 1943 in Bellevue, Ohio.
She was a 1961 graduate of Willard High School, Willard, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence F. Brandal and
Sylvia Herington Brandal, her brothers Gary Brandal and Larry Brandal, her daughters Linda
Marie Lewis Rabke and Tina Marie Lewis Bolden as well as her step son-in-law Tim Brandl.
She is survived by her loving husband Charles Grady Mitchum Dunbar of 41 years of marriage, her
daughter Beverly Marie Lewis Marshall and husband Roy. Grandchildren David Rabke Jr.
(Annie), Evette Rabke Tribes (Kirk), Brittney Windham Sutterfield (DJ), Brandon Windham
(Meagan), Sonja Tunnicliff Murphy (Joe) and Ashley Tunnicliff Coker (Trey). Step sons Richard
Dunbar (Carolyn), Steven Dunbar, and step daughter Annette Brandl. Step grandchildren
Nicolas Dunbar (Crystal), Alyssa Laiche (Taylor), Steven Lee Dunbar (Michael), Jordan Brandl
(Kyrstin), Garrett Brandl (Julianna) and Kaitlyn Brandl. She is also survived by her brother
William Brandal (Ruth), her nieces as well as her sons-in-law David Rabke and James Bolden,
17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was loved by numerous family
members and friends.
Lois retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone where she worked for over 30 years. She was a
member of the Baptist faith. A life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and life
member of the Livestock Committee. She worked part time for many years at GCCISD as a
teacher’s aid and many other jobs until she moved to the Livingston area. Lois was a Veteran
having served in the U.S. Marine Corp after graduating in 1961.
Visitation and Service will be from 10 AM to 12 PM at Onalaska First Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, TX
Memorial donations can be made to American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Hospital
Lois loved her family, family gatherings and she loved to bake.
