Livenie Mae Jimenez, age 85, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Houston. Born on August 4, 1940, in Henderson, Texas, she was the beloved daughter of Zoda and Marie Forbus.
Livenie dedicated many years of her life to the art of photo retouching and restoration, working with a photography studio where her keen eye and steady hand preserved cherished memories for countless families. Her passion for creativity extended beyond her profession—she found joy in painting and drawing, often capturing the beauty she saw in the world around her.
A curious and thoughtful soul, Livenie enjoyed researching genealogy, uncovering the stories of her ancestors and preserving her family's legacy. She also loved to travel, embracing new experiences and cultures with an open heart.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Devin Katz Hinnig; her sons James Brown, Carlous Brown, Chris Henson, and Paul Henson; her sister Alice Sullivan; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Livenie was preceded in death by her parents, Zoda and Marie Forbus; her grandparents, Daniel Bell Forbus and Martha Forbus; her brothers Jessie Forbus, Daniel Forbus, and Joe Forbus; and her husbands Rudy Jimenez and Harvey Katz.
Livenie Mae Jimenez will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
