Lawrence Andrew Jones' Obituary
Lawrence Andrew Jones, 95, of Harper, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Born on January 1, 1930, in Ellabell, Georgia, Lawrence was the son of Charles D. Jones and Mildred Lee Clanton. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952 as a SeaBee, embodying a spirit of dedication and resilience that would define his life.
On October 28, 1952, Lawrence married the love of his life, Sarah Cornelia Murray. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Lawrence worked as a Metallurgist at Armco Steel for 30 years, and later served his community as a Sergeant with the Harris County Sheriff's Department until his retirement.
A man of deep commitment and service, Lawrence was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a longtime volunteer at North Shore Hospital. He found joy in hunting, reading, and spending time with his beloved family.
Lawrence is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Jones and Connie Davis; his grandchildren, Scott Davis and wife Jennifer, and Stephen Davis and wife Samantha; and his great-grandchildren, Savannah, Charlie, Will, and Sawyer Davis.
He is preceded in death by his cherished wife, Sarah Jones; his brother, Harold Jones; sisters, Jean Kingston and Ann Turner; and his parents, Charles and Mildred Jones.
Lawrence will be remembered for his unwavering integrity, generous heart, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
