Lauren Kay Wallace's Obituary
LAUREN KAY WALLACE, 19, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 5, 2010. Lauren was a star pitcher at Sweeny High School during her Freshman and Sophomore years and for Anahuac High School in her Junior and her Senior year of 2009. She played softball from elementary thru high school in tournaments all over the South Texas and won numerous awards. Her other interests were twirling, volleyball, basketball - she really loved athletics in general. Lauren never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She was known for her warm and caring personality. Her friends and family considered her their rock. Lauren was the best of everything a parent, brother, sister, other family member or friend could hope to find. Lauren is survived by her parents Charles E. Wallace, Jr. and wife Lisa and Paula Madden Wallace and her husband Bryce,III. Also surviving are her brothers Anthony Wallace and Shawn Singleterry and a sister Heather Wallace; grandparents Linda Smith and husband Allan, L.A. Madden and Grace Waltrop, Bert and Joanne Hayes, and Rhonda and Bryce Wallace, Jr.; numerous other relatives and friends beyond mention. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Charles Wallace, Sr. and her grandmother Delores Ann Madden. Friends may call at San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway, on Friday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gary Hillyard officiating. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a reception at Market street Baptist Church immediately following the interment. For those desiring, contributions may be made to a memorial scholarship fund that will be set up in Lauren's name at the Security State Bank of Anahuac.
