Mr. Kenneth Murray McMillan's Obituary
Kenneth Murray (Kenny) McMillan, 54, entered into eternal peace on Friday, November 23, 2007. He was born in Pasadena, Texas on July 9, 1953 to Lloyd and Evonell McMillan of Jacinto City .He graduated from Galena Park High School in 1971. Kenny was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for nearly 35 years. Most of this time, he worked at the Granville Elder Station on Maxey Road where he was beloved by co-workers and patrons alike. Beginning in junior high school, Kenny made many trips to Garner State Park. He passed this love on to his family and they had a long tradition of summer family reunions at Concan. His daughters, nephews and niece are all official 'Frio River Rats'. Kenny had a lifelong love of music, sports and history. He was an avid reader and unbeatable trivia buff. His jokes, huge grin and infectious laugh were unmistakable. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Murray McMillan and his nephew, Michael McMillan. Left to mourn are his mother, Evonell McMillan; three daughters, Kate Beltran and her husband, James, Sarah Ashworth and her husband, Morgan and Jenny McMillan and her fianc'e', Beau Beaty; three grandchildren, Chris Beltran, Elizabeth Beltran and Natalie Ashworth; brother, Mike McMillan and his wife, Sharee; sister, Janice Aikey and her husband, John; niece, Lynn Parrish; nephews, Steven Aikey, Matt McMillan and Dean McMillan. The family will receive friends Monday, November 26, 2007, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home where a Memorial Service will be held beginning at 6:00 p.m. The family has arranged for a Private Committal.
