Mrs. Karen Custer Wright's Obituary
Karen Wright, 63, passed away on February 18, 2012 following a courageous battle against lung cancer. She was born on September 9, 1948 in Corpus Christi, TX and graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 1966. Right after graduation, Karen married the love of her life, Robert Wright and they moved to Houston to raise their two sons. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She worked at Mountain Products LP up until the time of her death. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Glynn and Vodena Custer and brother-in-law Lonnie Wright. Remembering Karen with much love are her husband of 45 years, Robert Wright; sons Eddie Wright and his wife Shellie of Grand Forks, North Dakota and Steven Wright of Houston; grandsons Haden and Logan Wright of Grand Forks, North Dakota; brother Glynn Custer and wife Sharon of Lufkin,TX; sisters Dena Plaisted and husband George of Little Rock, AR, Debbie Charanza and husband George of Lufkin,TX and Kathy Custer of Lufkin, TX; sisters-in-law Fanny Jo Brown of Corpus Christi, TX, Nora Jean Terry and husband Arlan of Mathis, TX, and Judy Wright also of Corpus Christi, TX; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Wiltshire, Tracey, Tonya, and Tony Charanza, Keith Terry, Arla Kay Vickery, Kathy Weintraub, Bryan Brown, Rhonda Foreman, Paula Ryan and Amy Wright as well as many loving friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, Feburary 22, 2012 from 6 to 8PM. The Celebration of Life for Karen will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
