Mr Jules J. "Bud" Guichet's Obituary
Jules Joseph "Bud" Guichet, 79, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at his residence in Galena Park. He was born to Jules and Addie Guichet on November 22, 1931 in Baton Rouge. He attended St. Anthony School and graduated from Istrauma High School. Bud served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 - 1955. Later he married Jane Smith and they had three children, Kathryn, Jules III and Julie. In 1963 they moved to Houston. Jane died in 1980. Later that year he married Penny Willhite. Their blended family grew by 4 more children with the addition of Ellen, Kenneth, Jesse, and Grady. Surviving are his wife Penny; children Kathryn Blosser and husband Robert, Jules III and wife Pebbles, Julie Smith and husband Stoney, Ellen Eagger and husband Richard, Kenneth Willhite and wife Barbara, Jesse Willhite and wife Tracey, Grady Willhite and wife Amy ; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; siblings Maxine Helouin and husband Burt, Judy Sanders and husband Ronnie, Melvin Guichet, and Cindy Guichet, and brother-in-law Charlie Schrader. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Lucy Schrader. Bud worked with Ethyl Corporation for 30 years prior to his retirement. One of his passions was hunting with his buddies. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, May 31, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jack Meeker officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Buddy Wilson, John Cook, Glen Corley, Rhome Nixon, J.E. Carraway, and Bo Holaday. Interment will be in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
