I wanted to take this time and express to everyone how appreciative I am for all of the wonderful and caring memories and condolences. I am certain my dad and brothers are eqally as moved. I especially wish to thank all who supported us at my mom's service. It was very, very moving and only my mom could arrange it so as to have a marching band perform for her. It has taken me a while to get to where I am able to post this thank you to all who cared for my mom. I have read all of your messages and I am very grateful she had so many who cared for her. She was an outstanding friend to many. She was an unbelievable mom. She was a caring aunt. She loved her sister so very much (Aunt Billie, she loved you so much and she knew you loved her greatly too). And, she was an outstanding educator who sacrificed greatly for her students (her wonderful girls as she said to me in September). To all of her students...you must know that she loved you very much. I know each one of you feel that she did. She was tough BUT she would tell me story after story about all of the goings on in the world of cosmetology. Take comfort and take all of the things she gave to you and make a great life for yourselves. That's what she wanted. She wanted all of her students to be successful with their careers and at life as well. She wanted you to be great adults that would be active community role models and leaders. She hoped that you would be wonderful parents when the time came for you to have children. She wanted your futures to be full of greatness and happiness. She wanted you to strive to be your best every day. And, as she said so often: "if you are having a bad day-it's ok to have a bad day-you will get through it." If you are having a bad day, just say: I'm having a bad day." I learned from my mom that it is ok to have a bad day but to never allow a bad day to over shadow all of the good and great things you are creating for yourself during your lifetime. To all of my sons and daughters, whether from Nimitz or Conroe, who were with me at mom's service and to all of you who have called, written or provided messages for her on this site. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you guys so much! I think about you all of the time. You,indeed, are a huge part of my life.
