Grandpa, I remember when my father left us at the age 6. My dad used to promise me he was coming so I’d wait everyday for him. Until 1 day you came and said come on let’s go. We went to get a snow cone at the corner of federal and market. Slowly but surely it was you I was looking forward to seeing every Friday. You stepped up to be a father to all your grandkids. You showed us what it was to have God in you. You sang for the good lord and I still remember sitting in church waiting for y’all to come bk from the alter from singing. Still remember the day when you heard grandma sing hallelujah and I remember you stopped in your tracks. You said “ She still sings so beautiful “. Times like that are still with me. It hurts but your honey has come to be with you. I learned that you can’t live with what bothers you or offends you and still think you can love. Forgive and live 💞 I love you so much grandpa love Lydia
