Our family has been friends with Joyce for over 35 years and she is the most kind and loving person our family has ever met. You can see that kindness and love in her amazing family.
Our family has so many great memories of her, too many to count. I always remember her and my mom talking in Korean after a long hard day's work. One particular memory that stands out is that she reserved out her whole skating rink for me to have my 10th birthday party with all of my classmates and friends! As a 10 year old you can imagine how happy I felt, lol!
She will be missed so much until we see her again. We are so sorry for your lost. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Joyce always loved and cared about everyone and treated everyone like Family
Not to long before they sold the House Joyce lived in on Woodforest Blvd. I was walking by and after talking to her she offered to Buy me a new Bicycle but I told her I was fine without her help but it was just an obvious sign of the fact she was always willing to help anyone in need. I worked for her and Paul from 1991 to 1996 and at the time I was given the Nick name by Robert Shiro at Showdowns as (Palomino Joe) because I would come take pictures of various contests at both Clubs even though I worked at the Palomino Club.
I have many fond Memories of Joyce and she had treated me like Family from that day forward until the final time I saw her in front of her house on Woodforest Blvd. When I was the DJ at the Club I would play stuff like Chubby Checker to get her out on the dance floor and like Paul everyone has truly Loved and Cared about both Joyce and Paul. I continue to feel like a Member of the Latour family and it all started in 91' when I 1st started working at The Palomino Club.
