Joyce Elaine Donnell's Obituary
Joyce Elaine Roseman Donnell, born November 15, 1943, to Lyle V. Roseman and Margie T. Collins in Oakdale, Louisiana, joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Monday May 24, 2021.
Waiting to welcome her home were her daughters Bobbie Jo(Jody) Oaks and Trisha Lee Donnell; son Steven Pyron; Father Lyle Roseman and Frank Collins. Carrying on her legacy is Mother Margie T. Collins; husband of 53 years Wesley Patrick Donnell; 4 children: Donald Dwayne Pyron, William Wade(Billy) Pyron and wife Shannon, Jamie Laine Faltysek and husband Scott, and Patrick Shawn Donnell and wife Melanie. In addition, she was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind multiple friends and extended family.
Elaine loved her family very much and cherished all the time spent together. She enjoyed fishing, zydeco music, shopping, fresh tomatoes, and most of all she loved going on vacation to Nevada or Colorado. Elaine spent 37 years helping others as a Registered Nurse. Though born in Louisiana, by ten she had moved to Texas which became her home and where she raised her family.
Elaine leaves behind an abundance of friends, colleagues, and patients whose lives were enriched from just having known her. She inspired so many in her nursing career. Her love for life, her feisty spirit, and infectious laugh will be missed greatly by all those who knew her.
