She went by many names, and each name represented an important part of her life.
JOSEPHINE- The formal name. The name that was chosen for her and the name that the government and all official documents refer to her as.
JO: This is the REAL name. When you heard someone say Jo Nagy, you knew who it was. This name was so powerful that she had a boat named after her, "Josie". It was the one used by her loving husband, Bill, of 67 years. Jo and Bill had a love for Ballroom Dancing, and graced many a dance floor in their time. Fitness was her life passion as she taught Swimnastics , Floor Exercise and Water Babies at the YMCA for many years and San Jacinto College North.
MOM: was the next name she was known for and used by her three children Raynell, Priscilla and Louis, in that order. There may have been other names, but this one commanded the respect it deserved. It was used with special meaning on Birthdays, Mothers Day and other special holidays.
NANA: was the name used by the grandchildren, all 7of them, and the Great Grandchildren, or at least those who could say the word.
