Benjamin Medina
Joseph “Joe” Medina, 82, of Houston, died May 8, 2022, in Houston, Texas. He was born on July 22, 1939, to Adalberto and Concepcion Medina in San Salvador, El Salvador.
In 1968 he moved to the United States to seek a better life, following The Central American Summit held by President Lyndon B. Johnson in San Salvador on July 7, 1968. Following the Summit, Joe was the recipient of US permanent residency “green card” before he moved to the United States.
In the late 1970’s Joe relocated to Houston, Texas where he would meet his loving wife, Helga Medina.
Joe was preceded in-death by his parents. Adalberto Medina passed away in 1942 when Joe was only 2 years old. Concepcion Medina passed away in September of 1990. Today Joe will be laid to rest next to his beloved mother.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Helga, his three sons, Benjamin, Clifford and Joseph Medina.
His 6 step children Angela, Vance, Timothy, Michelle, Mark and Michael Nagle and their children.
Joe is survived by his loving sister Martha Ruth Murcia and his brother Mario Contreras.
Joe is also survived by his dear nephews and nieces, Raul, Carlos, Patti and Gigi Murcia.
And finally, Joe is survived by his grand children: Dania, Dawson, Andrew, Sophia, Olivia and Lilly Medina.
