Mr. Joseph Lee Latour's Obituary
God has called another angel home. Joseph Lee (Blue) Latour, 85 was taken into God's loving arms on Thursday, September 13, 2012. A 28 year veteran of the US Navy and US Army, he was a true patriotic American hero and a veteran of three wars - WWII, Korea and Vietnam - a Bronze Star recipient, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernestine and Paul Lorenzo Latour, three brothers John, Laurent, Berkley and one sister Lila Mae. He is survived by his wife Joyce Latour, sons Joseph and Liz Latour, Paul Latour, daughter Dinah Peck and Bobby Wells, seven grand children - Robbie McDaniel, Candace Peck, Nicole Latour, Megan Latour, Ryan Latour, Conner Latour and Alexis Latour, and one great grandchild Maryah Gonzales and numerous other relatives, loved ones and friends. He was one of the original owners of Northshore Superskate Rollerrink in East Houston and Texas Pride Mobile Home Community in Northeast Houston. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made in his name to St. Andrews Catholic Church, 827 Sheldon Road, Channelview Texas 77530 where he was a faithful Christian parishioner. The viewing is Friday, September 21 from 5-8 PM at San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway Houston, TX 77015 Phone: (713) 453-7114.The funeral will be held Saturday, September 22 at 10:30 AM at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 827 Sheldon Road Channelview Texas 77530 and the burial will follow with full military honors at the San Jacinto Memorial Park adjacent to the funeral home.
