Joseph Rocky Latour
1953-2020
Joseph Rocky (Joe) Latour, 67 of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020 at his residence with family by his side. He was born on July 7, 1953 in Taegu, South Korea to Joseph Lee Latour and Joyce Ann Latour. He was the oldest of three children. Joseph was married to his wife Elizabeth Latour for nine years.
He was a nine-year veteran of the United States Navy where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, First Good Conduct Award, Navy Expeditionary Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family. His hobbies included bowling in which he received a 300 and 299 bowling ring, playing golf, going to casinos and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune on television.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph L. Latour, a veteran of three wars – WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
Joe is survived by his wife Elizabeth Latour, daughter Nicole Latour, and three stepdaughters; Serena Martin and husband Kevin, Wendi Johnson and April Miranda, his mother Joyce Latour, brother Paul Latour, sister Dinah Latour, and seven grandchildren; Macy, Tyler, Kaleb, Bailey, Jacob, Avery, and Colton. Nieces and nephews Candace Peck, Megan Latour, Alexis Latour, Ryan Latour, Connor Latour, Robbie McDaniel, great niece Maryah Gonzales and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial in his honor will be held on Saturday, November 21 at 11:30 am at San Jacinto Funeral Home and Memorial Park with full military honors.
