Jose Refugio Perez "Cuco", 66, of Houston, TX passed away September 30, 2020 in Houston, TX. He was born July 04, 1954 to Martin and Rosalia in Rio Bravo Tamps. Mexico.
He married Maria Candelaria Mares in Xicotencalt Tamps. Mexico. He was a maintenance operation worker for Houston Independent School District. He enjoyed doing mechanic work and working on his properties.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Perez and Rosalia Perez of Weslaco, TX.
He is survived by his wife, Maria C. Perez of Houston, TX,; daughter, Maritza Guadalupe Perez (Eulises Guajardo) of Houston, TX; sons, Martin Perez (Melissa Maria Silva) of Houston, TX, Jose Refugio Perez Jr. (Christina Ponce) of Houston, TX; sister, Rosalinda Ramirez (Daniel Ramirez) of Houston, TX; brothers, Alejo Perez (Leticia Pereda) of Reynosa Tamps. Mexico and Andres Perez (Alejandra Perez) of Pasadena, TX; 6 grandchildren, Melody Perez, Martin Perez, Jr., Michelle Perez, Michael Elijah Perez, Joel Perez, and Julian Perez.
He was born on the fourth of July and he always celebrated his birthday with red, white and blue to go along with celebrating our country's Independence Day. Mexican at heart but a true American who was grateful for the opportunity of being able to raise his family.
