Jose Martinez, age 88, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 9, 1933 to Ramon Martinez and Abelina Salinas in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Jose married Herminia Martinez on September 5, 1954 and they had 4 children, Jose Jr., Oscar, Noemi, and Zulema. Jose was a kind and giving soul. He was a dependable father and wholeheartedly loved his family. Spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was of the utmost importance to him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Herminia. Jose is survived by his loving children: Jose Martinez, Jr. (Becky), Oscar Martinez (Valencia), Noemi Infante (Johnny), and Zulema Martinez; grandchildren: Matthew Martinez, Michael Martinez (Michael Cruz), Jason Infante, Ryan Martinez (Taylor), Marissa Hawthorne (Cody), Yvette Infante, Lexi Martinez, Oscar Martinez, Jr., Andy Martinez (Maddie), Christie Pulido (Eduardo) and Jermain Gil (Erica); and 3 great-grandchildren: Emerson Martinez, Hayes Hawthorne, and Wade Martinez
