Johnny Eugene Garner's Obituary
Johnny Eugene Garner, 80, of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 6, 2025, in
Houston.
He was born on November 4, 1944, to Raymond Leon Garner and Pamella
Madelyn Dollar Garner in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Johnny retired from Reynolds Metals after 25 years of dedicated service.
He cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed attending church, Friday night sings, going to Jamboree, and watching the news(IYKYK) LOL!
Johnny is survived by his daughter Sheila and her husband Steven Scott of Gulfport, Mississippi; his son Jimmy Garner and his wife Martha of Houston, Texas; and his sisters Mildred Marie McElyen and Alice Betty Stubbar. He leaves behind his grandchildren Brittany Greiner, Kristi Duggan, and Joshua Garner; and his great-grandchildren Brooklyn Greiner, Eli Greiner, Jaelynn Duggan, Jaxon Duggan, Elisha Garner, and Lillian Garner.
He is also survived by his “adopted” daughter Debra Morrill; his three stepchildren Lynelle, Kerri, and Mike, along with their children; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, special friends, and his beloved church family.
Johnny was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Connie McCallister Garner, and his second wife, Emily Dennis Garner; his son Eddie Eugene Garner; his grandson Johnathan Garner; his sister Raymond Lee Kendrick; and his four brothers—Larry Wayne Garner, Carl Herman Garner, Raymond David Garner, and James Woodrow Garner.
