John Raymond Johnson, 70, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in Channelview, Texas on September 10, 2024. Born to Anton and Victoria Johnson in Harris County, Texas on December 22, 1953, John lived a life marked by service, faith, and love.
John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, embodying the values of dedication and honor. A devout Christian, he found joy in his faith and in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed working, tidying the yard, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren, whether playing or swimming with them. Known for his generosity, John was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Victoria Cummings, and his brother, Tony Johnson. John is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Johnson; his daughter, Malissa, and her husband, Joshua Freeman; his siblings, Yvonne Reed and Annette Hernandez; his seven beloved grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
John will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who will always remember his kindness, his love for his family, and his unwavering faith.
