Mr. John Milton Brewer's Obituary
John M. Brewer, 71, was born on August 6, 1943 to the late John C. Brewer and Lorraine E. Collins and passed away on June 10, 2015 in Pasadena, Texas. He attended J.W. Oates Elementary, Mc Reynolds Junior High School and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School. After graduation, he he was drafted into the U.S. Army for the Vietnam War. After serving his Country, he went to work for Brown & Root for 17 years. After retiring from Brown & Root, he went on to work for Action Cleaning Equipment for his later years.
On August 15, 1975, he married the love of his life, Ms. Margaret Ann at O.S.T. Baptist Church. He was a longtime member of East Houston Baptist where he served as a deacon. John was a friend to many and all that knew him. His most cherished moments was his wedding day and the birth of his beautiful children. Everyone that know’s John would say that he is loving, courageous, kind, honest, devoted and an avid music lover.
John is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Margaret Ann Brewer; sons: John W. Brewer and Jeffrey J. Koker; daughter Andrea R. Brewer; brother William C. Brewer; along with numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 14, 2015, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, Texas 77015, with a funeral service to be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Interment to follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
John will be missed by all who knew him and will remain in everyone’s heart.
