Mr. Joe Andrew McGinty's Obituary
Joe Andrew McGinty, 85, passed away on August 8, 2012 in a Houston hospital. Mr. McGinty was born in Navasota, TX on October 26, 1926 to Richard B. and Estelle Hill McGinty. Mr. McGinty was a veteran of W.W. II, having served his country in the U.S. Army and he was a member of Market Street Baptist Church for over 60 years. Although, he was by profession an auto body man, Joe was really a jack of all trades. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Margaret Jo McGinty in 2006, Son; Craig McGinty in 1984. Mr. McGinty is survived by his brother John McGinty and wife Kathryn; a sister Stella Thayer; his nieces and nephews Elaine McCoughan and husband Phillip, Richard Sarria and wife Barbara, Gary Cofer and wife Vicki, Bill Cofer and wife Glenda; great nephews Richard Cofer, Steve McCoughan, Andrew McCoughan and James McCoughan, and also by his long time dear friend Rosie Mason and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at San Jacinto Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Forrest Wood and Bro. Rich Hassell officiating. Interment will immediately follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
