Joan Ayres' Obituary
Joan Carol Roscoe Ayres, 78, of Waco, Texas, passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 15, 2021. She was born on April 17, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Victor George Roscoe, Sr. and Maybelle Vincent Roscoe.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Welmon Ayres, Sr; parents, Victor and Maybelle Roscoe; stepson Harold Welmon Ayres, Jr; sisters, Patricia Ann Roscoe Rath, Lois Jean Roscoe and Delores May Roscoe; twin brother, John Charles Roscoe.
Joan is survived by her loving daughters, Donna Marie Ayres Cotten (Danny) and Lori Ann Ayres Ballard (Jessie); stepsons, Robert Ray Ayres (Janice) and John Thomas Ayres (Diana); sister, Martha Mary Roscoe Beanear; brother, Victor George Roscoe, Jr (Kay); twenty grandchildren, many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews all who will continue to cherish on her memories.
The family will begin receiving guests to celebrate the life of Joan Ayres on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, TX 77015. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
