Mrs. Jimmie F. Cocheu, age 92, passed away on May 1, 2024, in Missouri City, Texas. She was born on December 26, 1931, to William Harper and Bessie Baley in Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Cocheu dedicated over 24 years of her life as a food service worker for Galena Independent School District. Her commitment to nourishing young minds left a lasting impact on the community.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leonard C. Cocheu, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Mrs. Cocheu also mourned the loss of her parents and her sister, “Mickey” Sekul.
Survived by her one and only son, Robert Cocheu, and his wife, Mary Cocheu, Mrs. Cocheu’s legacy extends to her grandchildren, Spencer and Cameron Cocheu. Her family remembers her as a pillar of strength, kindness, and unwavering love.
Mrs. Cocheu was a loyal member of the Episcopal Church of St. Timothy’s until its closure. Her faith and devotion enriched the lives of those around her.
In her long and fulfilling life, Mrs. Jimmie F. Cocheu touched the hearts of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
