Mr. Jerry Leon Chapman's Obituary
Jerry L. Chapman, 74, was born May 17th 1942 and passed away September 7th 2016. Jerry was born in Houston TX to Norman and Marie Chapman. He was the oldest of two Sons. Jerry is survived by his wife Frances of 53 years, his two sons Bruce and Brian, his bother Lee, 4 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and countless other family & friends.
Jerry never met a stranger. He belonged to the Ralston Memorial Presbyterian Church ran by Rev. Fred Campbell for 25 years. He retired from Amoco Oil now BP after 33 years. Jerry was a member of the East Houston Masonic Lodge #1299 for 29 years. He became a dual member with the Boston Lodge #974 in 2013. Through the lodge he was introduced to the Arabia Shiners, and was a member for 25 years. Jerry was also an endowed member with the A & A Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
Jerry was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, & sports. Jerry was a hard working family man. He will be missed by many.
Services for jerry will be held at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home on Monday September 12th 2016. The viewing will be at 10:00am and services at 12:00pm.
