Mr. Jerald T. Boswell Sr.'s Obituary
Jerald Thomas Boswell, Sr., beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2015 after a bout with cancer. Jerry was born on March 23, 1941 in Montgomery, Alabama to parents James and Florence Boswell. He married Charlotte Summers in 1960. Jerry was employed by Lubrizol Corporation for 35 years.
Jerry, or PoPo as he was known by his grandchildren was an avid fisherman and loved spending time at their home on Lake Toledo Bend. Some of the fondest memories are of the good times spent on the lake.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlotte, daughter, Cheryl Gossage and son-in-law, Matt and their children, Griffin and Sam all from Muncie, Indiana, son Jerry and wife, Lea Ann, and their son Zachary, daughter, Brooke Paulson and her husband Mark and Jerry’s only great grandchild, Cooper. Other surviving family members are sister, Nydia Holowinski from Grand Prairie, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family viewing will be held Monday, February 9 from 5:00-5:30. A public visitation will be the same night from 5:30-7:00, followed by a rosary at 7:00. A celebration of Jerry’s life will be Tuesday, February 10 at 11:00. The viewing, rosary, and service will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 827 Sheldon Road, Channelview, Texas, with burial following at San Jacinto Memorial Park Funeral Home at 14659 East Freeway, Houston, Texas.
